At Martins Group, we’re committed to finding ways to reduce the environmental impact of our business and make more sustainable choices across our operations.
We’re pleased to announce that the electricity supplied to Saftdwin Ltd, the company behind Martins Group, is now 100% backed by renewable energy.
For the period from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027, 100% of the electricity supplied by British Gas Trading Ltd to Saftdwin Ltd is backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) from natural energy sources. The certification has been verified by the Carbon Trust.
This means that the electricity covered by our certificate is matched with renewable energy generation, supporting the use of energy from renewable sources as part of our ongoing efforts to operate more sustainably.
Another step in the right direction
As a motor retailer and aftersales business, we recognise that sustainability is an important part of the future of our industry. While there is no single solution to reducing our environmental impact, we believe that meaningful progress comes from making positive changes wherever we can.
Moving to electricity backed by renewable energy is one of those steps.
