The Caddy Maxi panel van offers many of the same great features as the Caddy panel van, but with the added bonus of even more space. With a load volume of 4.2 m3 and a longer wheelbase, the Caddy Maxi provides an additional 1 m3 of load volume and an extra 470 mm of load length – giving up to 2,249 mm of usable space.
The Caddy Maxi's generous asymmetric doors feature opaque glazed panels. The Caddy Maxi includes near-side and off-side sliding doors as standard and features a full-height solid bulkhead. With eight load-lashing rings, an interior light and hardboard side protection as standard, the Caddy Maxi’s load compartment offers the perfect place for your cargo.
The Caddy Maxi kombi can be fitted with a range of innovative driver assistance systems.
These constantly analyse driving behaviour, so they can safely intervene to assist you if necessary.
Setting a new standard in driving safety, Volkswagen are the first to include Front Assist with City Emergency Braking as standard across their van range. Using a radar sensor, Front Assist detects when the vehicle in front is too close. It will warn you and prepare the vehicle for braking. If nothing changes, it partially applies the brakes, giving you a better chance of avoiding or minimising a collision.
City Emergency Braking works in combination with Front Assist. When you’re travelling up to 18 mph it will automatically prepare the brakes if a collision is likely. If the driver doesn’t brake then the system will do it automatically.
This state-of-the-art system helps to prevent follow on collisions. When the airbag sensor detects a collision, the brakes are automatically applied to avoid or lessen the impact of a secondary collision.
The hazard and brake lights are illuminated, and the driver can take control at any time.
The optional Adaptive Cruise Control ACC automatically adapts your speed to that of the vehicle driving in front and maintains the distance set by the drive - remaining within the set speed.
Driver, front passenger and side/head airbags give the best possible protection in the event of head-on and side impacts. The front passenger airbag can be deactivated using the vehicle
If seatbelts aren't fastened, the seatbelt warning reminds the driver and the front passenger to fasten their belts with a visual warning when the engine is started, and an audible warning after setting off.
Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP)
Prevents under- or over-steering via targeted braking of individual wheels.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
Prevent the wheels from locking-up while maintaining manoeuvrability.
Traction control system (TCS)
The Caddy panel van features a range of storage areas, so that you can fully concentrate on your work.
Whether you need space for your phone, gloves, folders or a lunchbox – everything has its own place.
The interior of the Caddy Maxi kombi flexibly adapts to the varying needs of your day-to-day work. Whether you have to transport 5 people or long objects, you can fit them in here.
Folding 3-seater bench seat
The bench seat in the second row of seats consists of a single seat and a 2-seater bench seat. Both parts can be folded and removed separately from one another. By removing the 3-seater bench seat, a generously sized level load platform is created.
Additional lighting with three LED lamps gives you a clear view of the load compartment at night.
It provides especially bright illumination of the load compartment. The LEDs are activated via the door contact switch and are switched off after 60 minutes when the door is open.
The optional light is fitted on the inside of the rear roof pillar, and illuminates the load compartment when the rear doors or tailgate are opened. This makes it easier to load and unload the vehicle in the dark.
The load compartment has six fold-down lashing eyes that are securely mounted to the vehicle floor. The Caddy panel van has six lashing rings and the Caddy Maxi boasts eight lashing rings. You can fix tools and materials securely, and in compliance with regulations, with the aid of the tear-resistant tensioning belts.
The optional sturdy metal rails are mounted at half-height on both side panels of the load compartment. They are supplied with four tensioning belts including fittings.
Transport protection package (not illustrated).
The optional protection package available with the universal floor includes lashing rails and roof-height panelling in the load compartment. It protects the load compartment against denting and scratching.
The Caddy panel van includes an impressive range of comfortable features: intelligent mobile online services which get you to your next appointment faster, climate control that makes your working day more comfortable and user-friendly connectivity to keep you informed and entertained on the road.
The optional Composition Media DAB+ radio system features an increased touch-screen size of 6.33" with proximity sensor, USB port, Bluetooth®, SD card slot, AUX-IN interface, MP3 and WMA compatible CD drive, 4 x 20 watt output with four speakers and a dual tuner with PhaseDiversity for optimum radio reception. App-Connect is available as an option for this system.
The Discover Media satellite navigation system builds on the strengths of the Composition Media DAB+ radio system by adding satellite navigation and a second integrated SD card slot compatible for map data. The system includes free updates for the pre-installed European maps through Volkswagen MapCare. Discover Media is standard on Highline, and available as an option on Startline and Trendline. App-Connect is available as an option for this system.
Available as an option with the Composition Media DAB+ radio system or Discover Media navigation system. App-Connect allows you to operate special apps via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The screen of your smartphone can be shown on the radio system’s display.
The multifunction steering wheel gives you a range of controls at your fingertips, so there's no need to take your hands off the wheel. You can switch tracks, tune in to a different radio station or turn up the volume, all without taking your eyes off the road for a second.
The standard multi-function display plus shows current information such as the time, remaining range, navigation instructions, outside temperature, average consumption, and a gear recommendation for more fuel efficient driving
It gives you a good grip and is extremely user-friendly. The radio or navigation system, a mobile phone or the cruise control can be controlled using the buttons.

Terms and Conditions: Important information : 1. Figures shown are for comparability purposes and were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. Mains electricity required for charging. Only compare electric range figures with vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. Figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the starting charge of the battery, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load. 2. On the Road (OTR) includes: First Registration Fee, Delivery to Van Centre, Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and Number Plates. Pricing subject to change including in the event of change in the applicable VED or VAT rates. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles may change RRPs at any time (this includes where there are government changes in regulation and/or legislation). There may be a delay to any RRP displaying correctly on our materials. Always obtain prices from your chosen Van Centre. From 1 April 2020, the official CO2 emissions values used to calculate Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) charges changed for all passenger carrier registrations in the UK, due to a change in the method of testing. This will affect the recommended 'on the road' price you pay (in most circumstances, prices will increase). Choice of wheels and other options may affect fuel consumption and emissions data (which may affect the amount of VED payable and therefore the ROTR price). Please consult your local Van Centre for details of VED charges and recommended 'on the road' prices applicable to passenger carriers registered after 1 April 2020. 3. These figures were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. The ABT eTransporter 6.1 is a battery electric vehicle requiring mains electricity for charging. Figures shown are for comparability purposes. Only compare fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the starting charge of the battery, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load. Zero emissions while driving. Data correct at [05/20]. 4. Home charging using a domestic socket will depend on the condition and suitability of the wiring in your home. Always consult a qualified electrician before charging when using a domestic socket for the first time, or, if the socket is to be used as the primary source of charging. Domestic sockets on the same circuit as other appliances, particularly those in frequent use, will draw additional amperage which may result in a breaker switch being 'tripped'. Establishing a separate circuit for home charging will help ensure your electric vehicle is supplied with a consistent, uninterrupted current. For optimum charging, we recommend installing an electric vehicle charging point at home. Please ensure your plug is standard, fully functional and correctly installed before using it to charge your car. 5. Charging times will depend on various factors, including temperature, state of the battery, state of and capabilities of the charging unit and power supply. Actual charging time will vary depending on the level of charge in the battery, as well as environmental conditions. Charging times will also be affected by the charging curve for example once charging passes 80%, charging will slow to protect the battery’s longevity. Images are for illustration purposes only. Vehicle shown may not reflect UK specification.
