The Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to join our large Volkswagen Dealership in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This essential and key role provides guidance and support to the passenger-car sales team. Ensuring that every customer is treated fairly, while also maximising every opportunity to supply relevant Finance and Insurance products. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is very well rewarded and is offered on a permanent and full-time basis.

What do we expect from you, as our Business Manager?

  • You will motivate, coach and manage your team of 7 Sales-executives, to achievement monthly and quarterly targets, while guaranteeing a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • You will provide finance and insurance quotations that will be accurately and professionally presented to the customer by yourself, or by a member of your sales team.
  • You will strengthen the Sales Executives position by interacting confidently with their customers by phone, email, video call and face-to face.
  • You will accurately complete numerous daily administration tasks including the activation of finance agreements and insurance products. Producing relevant documents prior to any vehicle collection.
  • You will audit all Finance and Insurance transactions, to ensure that our company and our manufacturer partners can be satisfied with the quality of our processes. While working within the rules and regulations set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
  • You will regularly produce performance and KPI reports to your team, the sales manager and the Head of Business.

What experience are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have numerous years of experience as a Business Manager in a volume franchise and a proven record of achieving targets. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following skills:

Digital Marketing Support – Martins of Basingstoke

Martins Group is a family owned business, serving customers in Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey for over 100 years.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This is an essential and key role that ensures the online visibility of our new and used vehicle stock and then monitors the performance and content of our websites. Working directly with the managers of our Passenger car and Commercial sales departments, this role is offered on a permanent and full-time basis.

What do we expect from you as our Digital Marketing Support?

  • To work closely with Three Sales managers across three individual sales departments, to maximise the online presence and search position of our new and used vehicle stock.
  • You will provide attractive and accurate Photographic and video presentations of our new and used car stock, feeding these images daily to our online partners.
  • You will Photograph our trade vehicles and upload them to auction websites.
  • You will monitor the performance of our online adverts and provide advice to our managers regarding the visibility and success (views) of our advertised stock.
  • You will assist our sales managers, by presenting a chosen car, or van of the week via Social media
  • Depending on experience you may also be responsible (with the assistance of our web management team) for maintaining the digital standards of our websites.
  • Other general photographic and marketing duties, as required.

What experience are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be confident with all things digital. From Digital photography and videography to website and social media maintenance and activity. Previous experience in a similar marketing role would be advantageous, though training will be provided to an individual that shows the right attitude for the role.

In addition to any relevant experience, you will also demonstrate the following skills:

Sales Administrator - Volkswagen - Basingstoke

The Role

We are seeking a Sales Administrator to join our large Volkswagen Dealership in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This is an essential and key role that provides support to the passenger-car sales team and additional support to our Commercial, Fleet, and Finance departments. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is offered on a permanent and full-time basis.

What do we expect from you as Sales Administrator?

  • Work closely with the individual members of the sales team.
  • Coordinate preparation of customer orders within the Sales, Finance and Parts departments.
  • Organise registration and taxation of new and used vehicles.
  • Liaise with our workshop to ensure preparation on new and used vehicles is completed on budget and on schedule.
  • Accurately invoice new and used vehicle sales.
  • Audit completed deal files prior to handover to customers, then again after delivery so that all of the correct, required and compliant information can be archived.
  • Maintain and regularly audit vehicle stock records and stock-vehicle funding lines.
  • Other general admin duties, as required.

What experience are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience. This experience may be from within a vehicle dealership environment, though this is not essential as training will be given.

In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following skills:

Volkswagen Technician

Location: Martins Volkswagen Basingstoke

Objectives

• Accurately and skilfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles

• Work with other departments in the retailer to facilitate the servicing and repair of vehicles

• Detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair

• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines

• Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction

• Help retailer achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency

Measures

• Departmental complaints log

• Repeat service visits / ‘fixed right first time’ log

• VQM / retailer audit against standards and guidelines

• Customer satisfaction (CSS)

Use of resources: The use of workshop equipment and consumables to enable completion of your job role.

Key Tasks

Objective: Accurately and skilfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles

• Analyse work orders to identify what work has been agreed; seek clarification from the Service Advisor if a work order is not clear or seems incorrect

• Evaluate the condition of the vehicle

• Document completed work orders, ensuring hours and materials used are accurately and appropriately recorded and all warranty material is kept and returned to the Warranty Clerk

• Perform repair work as directed, within timescales and in accordance with established and documented procedures, as well as conducting routine service work on all makes of vehicle
