We are looking for a technical support person to join our team in a first role within his or her career with a support background with Microsoft technologies or has been studying in this field.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and/or naturally bright person with first class academics. You will be working with the IT Manager creating a small 2 man team responsible for providing support for the entire company infrastructure. This is a very challenging roll and is packed with variety supporting different brands each with different requirements. The Martins group has many up to the minute technologies and the training that will be provided will progress your future career in Information Technology.

You will receive on the job training but will ultimately be responsible for supporting a wide range of technologies which will include:

  • Windows 7 & Windows 10 Desktop Support
  • Server Support & Networking
  • Digital Showroom technologies such as iPad & Dealer services
  • Brand Support for Volkswagen / Renault / Nissan / Dacia / Alpine

The role will be primarily office based dealing with technical calls ensuring that our staff our kept up to date with the progress. Travel to other sites may be required from time to time.

The right candidate will have good communication skills, personable and have a genuine interest in technology and computing with at least one recognised IT qualification and hold a full UK driving licence.

Basic Skills Required:

  • Strong Windows 7 & Windows 10 skills
  • Basic Networking skills TCP/IP

Desired Skills or some past history of working with:

  • Windows Server 2012
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange Server 2010
  • Microsoft Terminal Services
  • Hardware, PC & Printers

Internal Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, maintaining and updating User accounts for Brand Dealer Services (Web Based Client)
  • Basic Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange management
  • Desktop PC upgrades and deployments
  • Monitoring Backups and changing Tapes
  • Workstation hardware, Printer Hardware diagnostics and repair
  • Manage internal telephone system (using console)
  • Troubleshooting
